Nobody has solved the secret of Bermuda triangle, nobody was possible to understand secret of ship-phantom "Maria Celesta", scientists argue about Loch Ness monster...But nobody doubts, that is a big number of cities-phantoms in USA. Cities which were left by inhabitants. And nobody knows why. Oh yeah, you can say mines near which settlements were under construction are exhausted; clearly, new highways are laid, and in some cities it becomes hard to earn money... But here when streets unexpectedly become empty in succeeding city where all lived richly and happily... Stephen King's novel "Salem's lot" where vampires have transformed city with 1.5K population into city-phantom for few nights is recollected.
